Eric Cray 6.60
While he wasn’t able to break his National Indoor Record like previous years. Cray ended his 2017 60m campaign with two strong runs a time of 6.60 in Linz Austria 12 February, 2017. Cray then followed up with a 6.60 third place in Lodz, Poland Orlen Cup. The race was won by Yuniel Perez of Cuba in 6.53, Crays team mate Ryan Shields of Jamaica was second in 6.56, and Cray took third in 6.60.
The time improved on Crays 6.62 run at Albuquerque from last month.
Cray South East Asian record of 6.57 was ran in Albuquerque in 2015 and equaled at the Asian Indoors in Doha in 2016.
Another big highlight was Cray getting to run against former world champion Kim Collins of St. Kitts and Nevis in the Ostrava Grand Prix where he finished fourth in 6.65.
The results were reported by Davian Clarke, Cray’s coach who has been keeping me frequently updated via Facebook and Twitter.
Meanwhile another Fil-Heritage sprinter Trenten Beram who holds the National Record in the 200m (21.12) opened his season with a 6.83 run at the Crimson Elite meet in Cambridge on February 3.
