Filipino Scottish Hurdler Connor Henderson had been contacting me for several years. Confirmed that Connor had first contacted me in 2013, as per emails, face book messages and the first time he appears in my ‘exclusive’ national ranking lists prior to having contacted the PATAFA.

Henderson first appears on the 2013 Ranking list under non passport holder athletes with a time of 53.29 in the 400 Hurdles on 25.08.13 at Bedford.

Connor mother is from Abra Province and has a Scottish Father. Connor will represent Smart Blue Knights team at the National Open in the 400 Hurdles at the end of March. This will be Connor’s first race of the season. Connor whose mother hails from Abra is 24 years old.

Connor best time is 52.22 on 22.06.14 at Bedford back in 2014, this cannot be counted on the Alltime lists as he had not obtained a passport at this time. Connor obtained his passport nearer the end of 2016 so his 400 Hurdles time of 52.63 ranks him 10th on the All Time list.

Connor was ranked a distant second behind Olympian Eric Cray in the last 12 months. He will be up against UAAP Record Holder Clinton Kingsley Bautista (FEU) 52.81 and NCAA Record Holder Francis Medina (Perpetual) 53.14. Cray will not likely contest the event at the Nationals, being an automatic shoo-in as defending champion for 2017 SEA Games in Malaysia.

The bronze medal time standard from the 2015 SEA Games was 51.36.
