The Philippine Airforce Alliance is the unity of several Athletics Team into one greater Force. These teams include Philippine Airforce, Fil-Heritage Athletes, Meralco, Pagibig, Provincials, and Manila Youth.

Our marquee members include and have included SEA Games Champions such as Eric Cray (100m, 400 Hurdles), Caleb Stuart (Hammer), Christopher Ulboc (Steeples) and Kayla Richardson (100m).

Our other high profile athletes include 2013 SEA Games Gold Medalists Jesson Cid (Decathlon), Isidro Del Prado Jr. (4x400m), and former SEA Games champions Arniel Ferrera and Eduardo Buenavista. SEA Games medalists Donovont Ariola, Jessica Lyn Barnard, Katherine Khay Santos, and Ryan Bigyan.

The Head Coach of the team is Sgt. Bernard Buen and he is assisted by Joel Deriada. Coaches include head national coach Sean Guevarra (jumping), and he is assisted by former national coaches Nixon Mas (Throws), Ernie Candelario (Sprints/Middle) and Roy Vence (distance). Other coaches who have athletes in the team are also considered as associate coaches which a longer list is currently being prepared.

The team won the overall title at the 2014 Philippine National Games, the Men’s title and overall title at the 2015 Philippine National Open and were runners up in the women’s division.

The real success story of the team was was operating on 0 funding and up against College teams at the 2015 PSC-PATAFA Weekly Relays. This meant our team was composed of athletes who had no team, athletes from high schools with no established athletics team, air force enlisted athletes, visiting fil-heritage athletes and retired/part time athletes already in the workforce.

The team did well to finish runners up in the Mens behind FEU, and third in the Womens behind FEU and UST. This gave the Airforce Alliance third place overall. Beating out several better funded UAAP and NCAA Schools.

A lot of Enlisted athletes didn’t show so it was the civilian athletes that really carried the team at the Weekly Relays. The positive things promoted which we can be proud of were

  1. A means of moral support for former Collegiate Stars who were balancing work and part time training.
  2. The participation for the first time of around 15-20 athletes in our youth boys and girls division. Older athletes help guide and mentor the younger ones.
  3. Several excellent PB’s from athletes at all different levels of the sport.
