THE DEPED has released to the Media the list of names but not the list of events for the 7th ASEAN School Games. 28 Athletes have been named for the ASEAN School Games 2017 in Singapore. The meet which will be held in Singapore July 15-18. 2 Days from now.
Pinoyathletics.info only just received this list yesterday via a mutual friend. As list was only available at this point so was not able to make suggestions. This list is as of July 1.
The privilege of selecting the team goes to the winning coach. In this case the winning Palarong Pambansa in the Secondary Boys. Please note the winning coach in the Secondary Girls was not included in the lineup also. The coach of the Girls here is also from the Calabarzon team.

Oddly enough the following athletes were not included in the lineup.
- Dave Gemar Marcelo who won 2 Golds in the Palarong Pambansa, in the Secondary Boys 3000m Steeples and 5000m (James Darrell Orduna who he beat in both events and was Palaro Silver medalist was included)
- Kasandra Alcantra won 2 Golds in Palarong Pambansa in the Secondary Girls Discus and Shotput
- Alexis Caimoso Gold in the Palarong Pambansa Secondary Girls High Jump (Banatao who got silver was selected)
- Sheila Talja Gold in the Palarong Pambansa Secondary Girls Triple Jump (Gatinga who was silver in Triple and silver in Long was selected)
- Beranlyn Bejoy Silver in Palarong Pambansa Secondary Girls 400 Hurdles, but also also performed well at the SEA Youth with a Silver in the 400 Hurdles and a 2.16 Silver int he 800
- There is one athlete in the team who was sent to Children of Asia, SEA Youth, and also has no individual medal at Palaro and Batang Pinoy included in the ASEAN School Games lineup.
