ASEAN School Games Athletics Day 4: James Lozanes smashes Javelin Record

The Philippine Teams fourth gold medal came at the 9th ASEAN School Games in Singapore on the final day.

Palaro Champion James Lozanes of Western Visayas hurled the 700 gram Javelin 66.39m, to smash the meet Record of Pham Ngoc Anh of Vietnam 62.28m in 2013. Lozanes left the other medalists very far behind Wang Tingjia (Singapore) 59.76m, and Pornpraphan (Thailand) 59.49m.

In the Boys 2000m Steeple Chase another James. James Orduna of Leyte took bronze in 6.07.61, this goes with the 3000m Gold James won on Day 1 and 1500 bronze yesterday.

Finally the last medal of the Championships was a bronze for the 4×400 Team composed of three girls from Dasmarinas Jessel Lumapas who got the silver in the 400, Aaliyah Ingram and Elvieane Gobotia, and also including Hurdler Riza Jane Valiente.
