Bianca Combate after winning the Palaro with her Coach Damaso of Leyte Sports Academy

Bianca Jane Combate (Leyte) the National High School Champion in the 100m and 200m
clocked 12.2 and 25.5 in the Heats of the 100 and 200. The 14-year-old won in 12.3 and
25.7. Combate teammate Shane Demiao took silver in 13.0.
The Batang Pinoy Record is held by Limos (Cebu City) in the 100m at 12.1 (ht) and 12.48
(et) in 2016 and 2015. The 200m of 25.72 was set by Karen Janario (Leyte) in 25.72 from
2014.
Defending Batang Pinoy Champion Samantha Limos was eligible but failed to show at both
the Vigan and Visayas legs so will not be defending the title she won two years in a row.
Limos transferred from Cebu to Laguna earlier this year.
The Boys 100m of Kylie Dahili was just 11.9, he had run 11.7 in the Heats compared to the
Luzon Leg in Vigan which was 11.35, 11.52,11.79 for the top 3 place getters.
Combate and Demio teamed up with Chin Chin Alkunio and Rellama to win another Gold in
the 4×100.
Alkuino won the 400 (59.7) and 800 (2:22.7). Alkuino won the 400 by 6 seconds from
second place.
Diana Hurano of Bohol took the Long Jump (5.17m) and Mary Joy Loberanis a double for Cebu City the 1500m (5.03.4) and 3000m in 11:30.0
