Very Accurate Video Software
I would like to add my video software I used was fairly accurate. The Video Sofware got the
following Results vs the Actual Results. So when I used it to time my kids at the sports
academy. It is closer to accuracy than hand timing by a huge margin. I tried to use more
video analysis and not rely on hand timing for shorter distances like 200m and down. This
just proved that the software is very precise.
This video provided below was very good. I was able to see the frame when the smoke came
out of the gun and I was able to see a clear view of the girls going over the Finish Line.
100M Girls 5 November 2017 Pasig
| # | Athlete Name | Team | Hand Time | (Video Software Time) | Difference |
| 1 | Eloiza Luzon | UST | 11.9 | 12.20 | +0.06 |
| 2 | Kimberly Zulueta | Ateneo | 12.2 | 12.34 | +0.06 |
| 3 | Angel Carino | DLSU | 13.06 | Exact | |
| 4 | Mary Anthony Diesto | DLSU | 13.16 | Exact | |
| 5 | Elrica Guro | DLSU | 13.26 | +.018 |
All in all the video software got #3 and #4 times exact, and #1 and #2 was within .1 seconds
of accuracy. Which is better than what you would get from hand timing majority of the time.
Consequently, The Semi-Finals of the Weekly Relays will continue next week. And the finals
are due in December.
Due to the Philippine National Games being moved to April next year there is now no
overlap with the PSC Event.
