Meet Director Weekly Relays
The Weekly Relays qualification rounds for 2015 have now ended for 2015. The Top 16 Athletes in Track and Top 12 in Field events only will advance to the finals. There will be no automatic wild cards for athletes who failed to participate in the eliminations.
NCAA Record Holder Anfernee ‘Warm Bodies’ Lopena (CSB), 21 took the Mens 200m in 22.0 (21.91) narrowly holding off SEA Games 4×400 Silver medalist Ryan Bigyan (Lyceum of Batangas) 22.0 (21.95). Lopena who had hamstring issues a few weeks ago in Bacolod at the Uni Games when he was ran down and lost his title to Mico Del Prado (DLSU) 22.02 to 22.03 ht. This time Lopena came away as the victor of the close fight. NCAA Bronze medalist John Renzo Capingian (Mapua) came in third in 22.3ht. Fernan Lopez (Mapua) won the third heat in 22.3ht.
Some National athletes who were invited such as Bagsit and Jose Unso failed to show up during any qualifying tournaments of the weekly relays.
